The present study uses the methodology of the quality pillars proposed by Leme (2007) to analyze for certifications connected with the coffee agribusiness: the Coffee Quality Program (PQC), Café do Cerrado certification, Rainforest Alliance and Utz Certified. The objective is to unify both certification and quality concepts under the same theoretical model framework, analyzing how those certifications see quality under their rules and guidelines. The quality pillars model showed very useful to systematize the objects of this study in relation to certification and quality aspects in the coffee agribusiness.
