CARACTERÍSTICAS DE QUALIDADE DO CAFÉ EM DIFERENTES REGIMES HÍDRICOS E DENSIDADES DE PLANTIO

Abstract

Apesar da região do Sul de Minas Gerais ser uma região considerada apta para a produção de café, o uso da irrigação tem se difundido devido aos inúmeros resultados positivos obtidos por produtores e pesquisadores nessa região. Este trabalho objetivou avaliar a influência do regime hídrico e da densidade de plantio nas características de qualidade do grão de café. O plantio da cultivar Rubi MG 1192 foi realizado em janeiro de 2001 e a poda em agosto/setembro de 2007.Os tratamentos constaram de: quatro densidades de plantio (i) 10000 plantas ha-1 (2,0 x 0,5 m); (ii) 5000 plantas ha-1 (2,0 x 1,0 m); (iii) 3333 plantas ha-1 (3,0 x 1,0 m); (iv) 2500 plantas ha-1 (4,0 x 1,0 m) e, dois regimes hídricos: (i) irrigado pelo balanço hídrico climatológico – BHC e (ii) testemunha não irrigada. O experimento foi conduzido em área experimental da Universidade Federal de Lavras, Lavras/MG, utilizando-se delineamento experimental de blocos casualizados em esquema de parcelas subdividas,com quatro repetições. Nas safras 2009 e 2010 foram realizadas a classificação de peneiras, a uniformidade de maturação e o rendimento de café coco/beneficiado. Não foi verificado efeito significativo entre a interação das densidades de plantio e regime hídrico sobre as características avaliadas, em ambas as safras. Foi observado maior percentual de verde no tratamento irrigado em ambas as safras. Quanto ao tipo na safra 2010, o tratamento irrigado foi classificado como tipo 6 e a testemunha tipo 7.

Despite the southern of Minas Gerais is a region considered suitable for coffee production, the use of irrigation has been largely due to the numerous positive results obtained by producers and researchers in this region.This study evaluated the influence of irrigation and planting density on the characteristics of quality of the coffee bean. The planting of the Rubi MG 1192 was held in January 2001 and pruning in August / September 2007.Treatments consisted of four planting densities (i) 10000 plants ha-1 (2.0 x 0.5 m); (ii) 5000 plants ha-1 (2.0 x 1.0 m), (iii) 3333 plants ha-1 (3.0 x 1.0 m) (iv) 2500 plants ha-1 (4.0 x 1.0 m) and two water regimes: (i) irrigated by the climatic water balance - BHC and (ii) control irrigation.The experiment was conducted in experimental fields, Federal University of Lavras, MG, using a randomized block design in split plots with four replications. In 2009 and 2010 harvests were classification of sieves, the uniformity of maturity and yield of coconut coffee / benefit).There was no significant effect of the interaction between planting density and water regime on the traits in both seasons. We observed a higher percentage of green in the irrigated treatment in both seasons. As to type in the harvest in 2010, the irrigated treatment was classified as type 6 and the non irrigated treatment as type 7.
