Uso de extratos vegetais no controle do bicho mineiro do café.

Abstract

O bicho mineiro do cafeeiro Leucoptera coffeella (Guérin-Méneville) (Lepidoptera: Lyonetiidae) é praga chave da cafeicultura devido a sua ocorrência generalizada nos cafezais e aos grandes prejuízos causados. Em função dos problemas de resistência de pragas a pesticidas sintéticos, ressurgência e erupção de pragas, o desenvolvimento da agricultura orgânica e a crescente dificuldade de se descobrir novas classes de praguicidas tem se buscado alternativas na exploração dos produtos naturais. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho é selecionar e identificar plantas com potencial de uso no controle do bicho mineiro do café. A avaliação da atividade inseticida dos extratos vegetais foi feita em larvas de segundo ínstar de L. coffeella. Cada parcela experimental constituiu-se de um tubo de vidro (raio = 1,1 cm por 8,2 cm de comprimento) com 10 insetos. A concentração utilizada foi de 4,45 mg/cm2 dos extratos. Os tratamentos foram o extrato e a testemunha. As avaliações de mortalidade das larvas de bicho mineiro de extratos alcoólicos e hexânicos foram realizadas 4 horas. Os extratos alcoólicos que apresentaram atividade inseticida foram o extrato de Ageratum conyzoides, Eugenia sp., Bauhinia variegate, Piper augustum, Clavija weberbaueri e Spathodea campanulata. Para os extratos hexânicos somente o extrato de Spathodea campanulata não teve efeito inseticida.

The coffee leaf-miner Leucoptera coffeella is key curse of the coffee growing due to your widespread occurrence in the coffee plantations and to the great caused damages. In function of the problems of resistance of curses the synthetic pesticidas, ressurgence and eruption of curses, the development of the organic agriculture and to growing difficulty of being discovered new praguicidas classes has been looking for if alternatives in the exploration of the natural products. The objective of this work is to select and to identify plants with use potential in the control of L. coffeella. The evaluation of the insecticide activity of the vegetable extracts was made in larvas of second stage of L. coffeella. The experimental delineamento was casualizado entirely with three repetitions. Each experimental portion was constituted of a glass tube (I stripe = 1,1 cm for 8,2 cm of length) cntaining 10 insects. The used concentration was of 4,45 mg/cm2 of the extracts. The treatments were the extract and the witness. The evaluations of mortality of the larvas of mining bug of alcoholic extracts and hexânicos were accomplished 4 hours. The alcoholic extracts that presented insecticide activity they were the extract of Ageratum conyzoides, Eugenia sp., Bauhinia variegate, Piper augustum, Clavija weberbaueri and Spathodea campanulata. For the extracts hexânicos only the extract of Spathodea campanulata didn't have insecticide effect.
